4. March 8, 2010: CORES ONLY : Poster Deadline

Guidelines

For your convenience, please find poster and presentation templates to the right of the page.

Abstracts:

Scientific presentations and awards will be selected based on abstract review.  Those who submit abstracts will be notified if they will be presenting their abstract as a poster during the poster sessions or as a PowerPoint presentation during the program. Please note that poster presenters will be responsible for producing their own poster.

Formatting:

1. Abstracts should be one page in length and summarize specific aims, research methodology, and result status.
2. Abstracts should include presenter’s name, university affiliation, LCRC scientific program assignment, and the names of any collaborators.
3. Submit abstract entries in Microsoft Word, margins .75", Times New Roman Font size:11
4. Abstract files should be named in the following manner: presentersname_abbreviatedtitle_LCRCscientific program_school_retreatyear (e.g. marysmith_canceroftheeye_clinical_LSU_2010)

Submission:

1. Submit abstracts to mcarroll@lcrc.info with Abstract Entry 2010 in the subject line, ONE ENRTY PER PERSON.

Posters:

Formatting:

1. Posters should be 3 x 5 portrait layout, on photographic poster paper, and in a semi-gloss or matte finish. (Alternate sizes and layouts are NOT COMPATABLE with the display boards.)

Submission:

1. Poster setup is scheduled at the retreat venue between 9am and 2pm Friday March 26, 2010.
2. ideally, posters will remain displayed until the end of the retreat March 27th, with personnel available during all poster presentations. 
3. Posters will be grouped by scientific program.
4. Presenters will find an index card with their name on it and four push pins to mount their posters.
5. CORE LEADERS ONLY:  Please submit posters in Power Point format to the Office of Scientific Administration by close of business March 8th 2010 in order to have your poster published in the 2010 Resource Guide Book. Submit core posters to mcarroll@lcrc.info with Core Retreat Poster 2010 in the subject line.

Presentations:

Formatting:

1. Please use the slide template provided. Presentation template
2. A maximum of 10 slides is recommended for a 15 minute presentation.

Submission:

1. PowerPoints for the oral presentations need to be submitted and recieved by the OSA, Melissa Carroll, in the provided template no later than March 19, 2010. Presentations received after this date or brought to the retreat by presenters cannot be assured compatability or guarenteed a seamless presentations.
2. Submit Powerpoint Presentations to mcarroll@lcrc.info with Retreat Presentation 2010 in the subject line.
