The LCRC will host its 2012 Annual Scientific retreat March 9th and 10th (Location will be announced shortly). The retreat will begin Friday afternoon with a keynote address, poster session and reception followed Saturday with LCRC award winning scientific presentations and an update from our Co-Directors.

We are excited to share some of the following highlights:

• A keynote address by Dr. Mona Fouad, professor and director, Division of Preventative Medicine, University of Alabama School of Medicine.
• Many poster presentations
• Scientific presentations from our LCRC members
• An award ceremony recognizing our top scientific accomplishments

Purpose:

The purpose of the retreat is twofold:

1. To share LCRC progress to date and plan the future vision and direction of the LCRC scientific programs
   
2. To provide a forum where researchers can explore collaborations with others that have similar scientific interests and raise awareness of the opportunities and resources available through LCRC membership
