The LCRC will host its 2010 Annual Scientific retreat March 26th and 27th at Xavier University. The retreat will begin Friday afternoon with a keynote address, poster session and reception followed Saturday with LCRC award winning scientific presentations and an update from our Co- Directors.
We are excited to share some of the following highlights:
- An update on the LCRC building project and legislative developments from the LCRC President & CEO, Mr. Steven E. Moye
- A keynote address by Dr. Andrew Kraft from the Hollings Cancer Center, Medical University of South Carolina- The most recent addition to NCI designated cancer centers
- Many poster presentations
- Scientific presentations from our LCRC members
- An award ceremony recognizing our top scientific accomplishments
The purpose of the retreat is twofold:
- To share LCRC progress to date and plan the future vision and direction of the LCRC scientific programs
- To provide a forum where researchers can explore collaborations with others that have similar scientific interests and raise awareness of the opportunities and resources available through LCRC membership
