Endowed Chair in Molecular Pharmacology


Tulane Cancer Center and the newly formed Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LACRC) seek an outstanding cancer scientist for the Endowed Professorship: “Joe. W. and Dorothy Dorsett Brown Foundation Regents Distinguished Chair in Molecular Pharmacology” to develop and direct a program of drug discovery and drug development.
Tulane University Health Sciences Center and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans have joined together to develop the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium with the goal of achieving NCI designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. Continuing funding from an increase in the State tax on cigarettes and significant financial commitment by both Universities provide generous resources to the successful candidate to recruit additional faculty in both basic an clinical sciences to establish a world class program. Planning is underway for a new state-of-the-art cancer research building. The successful candidate will participate in the leadership of the development cancer center.
