What is Key to the Cure?
Key to the Cure 2010 is a four-day charity shopping weekend — Thursday, October 21, through Sunday, October 24 — during which 2% of sales at Saks Fifth Avenue New Orleans will be donated to the cancer research programs of the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium.

Over the past 9 years, Saks stores nationwide have raised over $32 million for women’s cancer charities through Key to the Cure.   The New Orleans event has generated over $1,066,000 locally, every penny of which went into cancer research here at home.

The Kickoff Gala
The event begins with a Kickoff Gala at Saks Fifth Avenue New Orleans, 301 Canal St., Wednesday, October 20, 6 - 9 p.m.   This year’s Gala will feature delectable items from several of New Orleans’s finest restaurants and caterers; a huge assortment of beverages, compliments of Republic National Distributing Co.; and great New Orleans-style entertainment on every level of the store. Complimentary parking will once again be provided the night of the Gala by Roger Ogden, Darryl & Louellen Berger and The Garage at Canal Place.  The Gala attracts approximately 1,200 guests each year on average.  Suggested dress: Business/Cocktail.
