The Stem Cells and Cancer Group Meeting represents the centerpiece of a collaborative effort between the LCRC and the Louisiana Gene Therapy Research Consortium (LGTRC) to build an outstanding research program in 1) cancer stem cells and 2) relationship between cancer and adult mesenchymal stem-progenitor cells. The format is a one hour, informal meeting with brief presentations of ongoing or proposed research projects and new techniques followed by active discussion among participants. It is anticipated this meeting will foster collaborative research projects among participants.
