Friday Afternoon Encounters - LSU Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center
The weekly Friday Afternoon Encounters has proven to be a useful and well attended forum for the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center to foster interactions among its investigators. This forum has a wide-ranging format. We accommodate research seminars, works in progress, presentations of new ideas for research projects, and journal club presentations. The talks should not exceed 35 minutes, leaving ample time for discussion before we adjourn promptly at 5:00 PM. In order to expand the utility of the FAE, we would like to encourage lab leaders to have their students and postdocs present. We are among friends, and there should be no fear that the students and postdocs will suffer from the attention of the audience. Lab leaders will introduce their students and are asked to be present to provide moral support.
